Showing My Pride

Standing tall, icy glare, no fear, not today.  Riding bulls is tough business, dangerous, and some may say fun.  Really.  But on this day, this rider knows he is going to be the best he can be.  He won't quit and won't back down.  He'll take all this great animal can offer and take to the final bell.  Today is his day.  Today he is standing tall.

We Are The Champions

Acquiring the coveted trophy, be it a medal, ribbon, cup, crown, belt, gold star, or in this case BUCKLE, is the name of the game.  It means you've proved to all the competitors that you are consistently at the top of your game.  Each event, every ride, all the hours of practice have given you the privilege to stand back and say, "Yeah, I did that!".  Congratulations.

Yeah!! I got that one!!

Emotions run high in any sport.  The thrill of victory is universal.  To accomplish your goal, giving it your best, and coming out on top is a reason to celebrate.  This young man is one of the best.  A hard ride, a proud animal, and a satisfying win. His form in competition and his exuberance in success is astonishing. He may be a new teen heart throb ladies.

The Other Tough Guys

Rodeo is a tough sport, no doubt about it.  The ride is rough, the animals are strong, the ground is hard.  This photo is of a young man working with kids as young as 8 years old doing "mutton bustin'" to teenagers riding the bulls.  Truly remarkable.  To help keep everyone safe, the rodeo clown jumps in to shield a fallen rider, chase away any danger, and assist if injuries occur.  A really tough guy.  The closer you get to these remarkable animals, the bigger they look. My hat goes off to your magic and lightening quick action.

From Photo to Art

In today’s world of digital photography, we all have the ability to take really great pictures.  You can post them, text them, email them, and if you want to go totally weird, you can even print and frame them.  I’m sure you have your favorite photos, I know I do. But sometimes having a really good picture is just that.  A picture.  What are you going to do with it?  We all have our favorite subjects.  I’ve been accused of taking more pictures of my dog than most people take of their kids.  Guilty.  But, I think I may not be alone in that category.

The photo on the left is just a snapshot, and really nothing to say WOW about.  However, there was one small area of the photo that makes it special.

My dog looking at me with his stupid tongue sticking out like he does so often.

Taking that one good area and using Photoshop to create a painted image turns a poor snapshot into a piece of art. Today it is framed, matted, and hanging on my wall as it should be.  From Not to Hot!!

If you are interested in how this could work with one of your photos, shoot me an email.
